Team meets driver

Yesterday evening at Le Reposoir (our usual HQ as soon as the good weather arrives), we met Marc Davet our driver.

After a few beers, followed by dinner, he was fully integrated in the team! We decided to have a closer look at Fred's planned route, and figure out where, near Lyon, we wanted to be on the first evening. A few tasks were decided upon, starting with Vincent's purchasing of Marc's return plane ticket. Patrick will acquire some maps, and Gwenn will organize a tool-box and various spare parts (e.g. wheels). John needs to install Fred's Garmin software on the PC that he'll be bringing, and we all need to get our bike bags to Anthony quite soon. This is so that they can be shipped to Porto in advance, with our profuse thanks to Anthony's contacts!

Apart from Fred who had just returned from being stranded in Spain due to the volcanic ash cloud, the whole team was present. Clockwise around the table from the left: Vincent, Gwenn, Marc, Anthony, John and Patrick - all looking confident prior to our 1800km bike trip that will start on May 8th .
